SLOW PULP FALLING APART

Following on from the fantastically sludgey debut single 'Idaho', Chicago-based indie band Slow Pulp share single 'Falling Apart', lifted from their forthcoming record Moveys. The track is accompanied by a fantastical music video about feeling lost in a familiar landscape. Director Jake Lazovick, places Emily in a transient world, surrounded by flying objects and missing pieces. The clip features nostalgic animations, body doubles for social distancing purposes, and an homage to Massey's background as a ballet dancer. The song features Alex G collaborator Molly Gemer on violin, adding sombre, folky undertones. Emily Massey's vocals are smothered in pop harmony, and remain unobtrusive, nodding to vocalists of bands like Woodbine and The Breeders. They came in so strong with their debut 'Idaho', and continue to sweep us off our feet. Moveys is out in full October 9th via Winspear.-Ellie Rose-Davies
